Famous actor Jim Carrey said to us: 

“How will you serve the world? What do they need that your talent can provide? That’s all you have to figure out… I can tell you from experience, the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.” 

Personally, I’m truly humbled, every time I get reminded of my beginnings.

Raised in an environment that taught me to be tough, that in order to survive on the streets of Belgrade…

I had to be quick on my feet and sharp in my mind.

I had to take what I needed, faster than anyone else.

Because there wasn’t enough for all of us.

Because there’s only one gold medal, only one first place.

And because of this kind of mentality, I always felt that I’m swimming with sharks.

I contributed little and took what I could. Until one day, when everything changed.

Until I had a change of heart and learned about contribution and a mentality of cooperation.

Until I discovered a great deal of passion, for fellow human beings.

Until I found immense joy, in helping others. I used to have many, many jobs.

Now… I have a calling.

It shifted me from doing what I had to do, to a never ending fun and play.

I learned that the more positive, the more meaningful effect I have on people around me, the more valuable I become to the world.

The more impactful I can be with my words and deeds, the easier and more meaningful my own life becomes.

So back to the Jim’s quote for today… “How will you serve the world?” 

As I happen to agree with him fully on this one.

What can you do for others, that’s valuable and important to them?

That has a lasting impact in their life?

Do more of that… and shift your focus from getting… to serving… and see what happens for you…

For me, it did magic… and I’ve never been more successful nor happier in my life.
